This was a hearty session for me to photograph. I’ve known Sarah since she was in high school and she interned with the middle school youth group at our church when my husband (boyfriend at the time) was the youth pastor. It now seems like a lifetime ago. She and her amazing husband welcomed their first baby into the world in June and he is perfection. I am loving watching Sarah become a mother.
To book your own newborn, in home session, contact me at any point in your pregnancy and I can pencil in your due date in my calendar.
This role of Motherhood is so much more powerful and beautiful than we all believe. Can you remember being small and scared and just knowing that everything would be okay if you just had your mom? It’s so much that mothers do, and so much that they are that makes them and their role so beautifully necessary. This series, a new mother beaming with joy for the little ones she’s surrounded with, so in her role, arms full of squirming, crying babies. I’m overwhelmed by it. If you’ve had the occasion to be in her role, you may be overwhelmed too. I find this series of images so powerful and moving.
Christina, thank you for allowing me to photograph another beautiful baby boy.
Okay, so… my little family welcomed our own little newborn into our fold just four weeks ago. In true “newborn mom” style, I am just now getting around to sharing some of the pictures from my “big camera” that I took of him at two weeks old. I, like so many of my clients, want to remember all of the little tiny details of my sweet baby boy. There are sure to be more pictures of him as we grows. We are so in love and are trying to take it all in and remember each sweet smell and each passing phase. I am, myself, reminded that it all goes much too quickly.
Emery was born on May 14 weighing 9lbs 13 oz. Yes, his mama is a superhero. At just 4 days old, he was chubby and squishy and oh-so perfect for his session. Being a healthy baby, he needed a lot of snack breaks and Caroline was calm and collected through the process. Big brother, Moses, brought energy and affection to the session and dad, Davy, showed love and pride in his eyes like I’ve never photographed. I love this family.
